So....Who Are We ?

While Jim grew up exploring lost, abandoned and forgotten areas in his native Massachusetts, I was doing the same in my home state of New Jersey...
as in "Weird New Jersey".

We have both had a combined interest in paranormal occurances, research and investigation for as long as we can remember, including a fondness for abandoned and forgotten places.

Separately and together, we've lived in homes that have had their share of paranormal activity. We feel privileged to have lived in such homes, since we feel that while death closes one door, it opens another. So, we are appreciative to those 'spirits' who make themselves known to us, giving us a better understanding that life does go on.

While we do understand that there are scientific explanations for occurances thought to be paranormal, we usually take those explanations into consideration during our research and investigations.

Neither of us claim to be psychics or mediums, although Jim has a gift for intuitiveness to a degree. We don't claim to be "Professionals" in this field of venture...or "Hobbyists" either.  Nor do we claim to be the 'most experienced ghost-hunting team' in this state of Texas, or anywhere else, for that matter.

We only share a natural love for the unknown, forgotten, the unexplored.
While some occurances thought to be of a 'paranormal' nature are discovered to be natural happenings (wind, dust, rain, houses settling, you get the idea),
we'e always kept an open mind and laid-back attitude about our research, sightings and data that we have captured on both film and digital recorders.

This site is not here to convince anyone...including skeptics, that ghosts exist.
We document what we have seen, felt and heard, and enjoy sharing our findings with those of like minds.

While living in Massachusetts, we created the Massachusetts Hauntings Society in 2000. After leaving there to relocate to Texas in 2002, we created our current site, the Texas Hauntings Society, in which we have included documentation of past and current investigations, EVP research and plans for future ventures in the North Texas DFW area.

When Jim isn't working his real job, and I'm not dabbling in my art and photography projects (pretending that I'm the next Andy Warhol), we're spending time constantly renovating our little home, paying attention to all of our dogs, sharing quality time with our new granddaughter, and being computer slaves....
researching everything that crosses our minds and our paths.

But we can also be found exploring our local area in "Harvey", one of our old yet still reliable trucks and companion to our adventures...
camera and recorder in hand.

We DEEPLY APPRECIATE and THANK our web visitors for their continued support and feedback concerning the Texas Hauntings Society.

Thanks for visiting our site...we look forward to hearing from you!
