| A Cemetery in Belchertown, MA Sighting in a small cemetery late one night |
| Michelle, a friend of ours from Massachusetts (and who also had contributed photos of her investigations and Slave Hole and Hidden Cemetery) called me one night, asking me to accompany her to a small cemetery located across the street of her childhood home in Belchertown. There would be no problems visiting this cemetery after dark, since the neighbors knew her, and would not call the police if they saw us. I brought along another friend of ours, Pearl, who was learning to conduct investigations. Also included in our little party was Michelle's sister and her two children. We drove out to the cemetery as soon as it got dark. Armed with our cameras, my tape recorder, and Michelle's video recorder, we walked into the darkness. I turned on my tape recorder and spoke out loud. While I was doing this, Michelle was looking through the viewfinder of her video recorder checking the focus, when she anxiously called out to me. she held up her camera so that our group could all look into the large viewfinder. We all witnessed a round illuminated orb slowly drifting towards us, increasing in size as it seemed to approach us. None of us could see this with the naked eye, we could only see it in the viewfinder of the camera. As we continued to watch through the video camera, the orb increased in size again, becoming more larger as it approached. In the bright light of the orb, we could see the faint outline of a person. It was almost as if the person was just as curious about us, as we were of them. Several minutes seemed like an eternity, then the orb began to move backward, slowly dimishing in size. I asked the image not to leave, but it finally got smaller until it vanished completely. It began to rain so we ran to our cars, excited and thrilled that we were able to all witness this phenomenon. It was then that Michelle told us that in her fear and excitement, she forgot to record the entire incident on film. Later at home, I listened to the tape recording but did not hear any other voices except our own exhiliarated comments on what we were witnessing at the moment. Regardless, it was a wonderful sight to experience! (Pearl and Michelle, we miss you!)
