| The Texas Files Hughes Cemetery, Wylie Texas: (updated Nov. 2009) "Dear God" Nov. 22, 2009: Someone says "Dear God" after I asked if anyone would like to say anything. "Yah" , or "Ahh" Nov.22 2009: A voice says either "Yah", or "Ahhh", right after I say "When we take headstone pictures" "They're Over There" Nov 22, 2009: I was reading the names of a married couple out loud. A voice says 'They're over there". (Note, the voice speaks fast, but we seem to think he's saying 'They're over there".) "Daddy" Feb 26, 2009: I was recording alone one day, speaking while standing at a gravesite. After I speak, the voice of a child says "Daddy'. "Are they done? I don't know" November 3, 2007: We think the first voice is saying "are they done?" but we're definite the second voice is saying "I don't know". We were walking back to our truck when I captured this EVP. "Tough Shit.....What the Hell? November 3, 2007: Once again , we're not sure what the first voice is whispering, but we think it sounds like "Tough Shit". (Another EVP captured while walking back to our truck, getting ready to leave.) "Hi Big Man" We were taping at the gravesite of a young child. This was where Jim had strongly sensed her presence. To us, it sounds like a girl's voice saying "Hi Big Man". Ironically, Jim is a large man in stature and weight. Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Sachse, Texas (Updated November 2009) "Shut it Down" October 29, 2007: We had trouble with our voice recorder briefly. I kept complaining about it, then it finally worked. I guess a spirit had grown tired of hearing me complain, hah! "What is the Flu?" October 29, 2007: Several victims of the 1918 Spanish Flu Pandemic are buried here. While standing at the gravesite of one such victim, we had been discussing this, then we turned on the voice recorder and captured this EVP. Wylie Cemetery, Wylie, Texas: "I Feel Fine" or "I Feel Funny" November 14, 2006: Immediately after I say "How do you feel now?" an extremely faint voice can be heard saying "I feel fine", or "I feel funny." Cottonwood Cemetery, Wylie, Texas: "Alice" October 22, 2006 - Jim had taken a picture of what looked like a bluish light in the cemetery. When he showed it to me on the viewfinder, you can hear me saying "Oh my god, think it's that light?" Immediately after I said this, you will hear a woman's voice saying "Alice". Later that night, back at home I checked an online list of the names of people buried in this cemetery. Among them was a woman named Alice V. Wells, who died in 1893. We did not know this before our investigation. "Alice", short Same EVP as above, just shortened to hear the woman's voice saying her name. Our Home in Texas Random recordings made throughout our home "Tony, we're here tomorrow" January 2006 - This one was recorded in our bedroom. "Yes" July 22, 2006 - You can hear me saying "The toilet seat wasn't up", then a woman's voice replying "Yes". "Come On, Come On, Let's get some Ice Cream" July 22, 2006 - what sounds like a child whispering. "Arthur" July 24, 2006 - This is ironic that I captured this EVP. The former co-owner of this home had the first name of Arthur. It is a woman calling his name. Both former owners of our home have been deceased for years. The Massachusetts Files Palmer, Massachusetts, "Hidden Cemetery" (Palmer Center Cemetery "Shabby", or "Shanni" June 2000 - While investigating and making recordings in this cemetery for the first time, upon playback, Jim feels the ghostly voice is saying "Shanni", (Jim's daughter, who was present with us that day, and whom we had previously been calling out to before recording, since she had a habit of straying away from us too far). I feel the voice is saying "Shabby". (VERY loud) "Cute" June 2000 - You will Jim saying "Hello", then someone saying "Cute". "Good, fine" June 2000 - Standing before a grave, I asked "And how are you today?" a soft male voice answered "Good, fine." The voice is very soft, might be hard to hear. "She can too." June 7, 2001 - No background info on this, except it was recorded during our field investigation. St. Thomas Cemetery, Palmer, Massachusetts: "They're here." March 31, 2002: Another voice heard after investigative recording playback. Quabbin Park Cemetery, Ware Massachusetts "Possessed" April, 2002: While standing in front of a grave stone, I had trouble reading the name, and spoke my frustration out loud. Later on, I had captured a faint voice saying "Possessed". Our former home in Palmer, Massachusetts: "He's not gonna answer his wife." August 2, 2001: My late ex - husband Bob passed away. The night after hearing of his death, I ran the tape recorder, asking Bob to speak with me through the tape recorder. Upon playback, I heard a voice, it was not Bob. Jim identified the voice as that of his late grandfather, who had been dead for years prior to this taping. "I want you to go." Jan. 29, 2002: While working on my computer one night, I decided to leave the tape recorder running indefinitely. There was no background noise (TV, stereo). In addition to the ghostly voice is the typing sounds of my keyboard as I was working. The voice sounds very angry with me, I have no idea who it was! "Talk, Mina" January 29, 2002. We remastered this EVP since it was originally faint. We think he might be saying "Talk, Mina", but not really sure. Contact Us : mina@texashauntsociety.com |
| Voices Unexplained Better known as EVP, or Electronic Voice Phenomenon. We believe that a dwelling or area does not have to be 'haunted' in order to hear voices made during EVP tapings. We believe that spirits are everywhere and welcome the chance to make themselves heard. On this page we've listed some of the EVP's we have recorded both here in Texas and in Massachusetts. All recordings on this site are in WAV format, Windows Media Player accessible. However, we have received feedback from our web visitors that they have been able to hear the files in Real Player or other formats on their computers. On some computers, a notice may appear that asks you to download each sound file. Our EVP files are all virus - free. Nov. 2009 : Our EVP files will also be located at our Texas Hauntings YouTube Site, too |
